How do I clean outdoor wooden furniture?

I was asked recently how to clean outdoor wooden furniture. The first questions to ask are what wood is the furniture made from and what colour is it. If your garden furniture is made from teak which has weathered to a silvery colour or any wood that has weathered to a nice colour then applying polish may damage the weathering e.g. turn it black. You will either have to leave it as it is and just wash it ensuring it is left totally dry or sand the weathering off.

Generally speaking in other situations we recommend using Heritage Woodcare. Heritage Woodcare takes off most of the build of silicones, waxes, greae and grime.

Using it is very easy. Simply shake your bottle thoroughly, pour some of the polish into a container, soak a clean cloth (such as a duster) in the polish, squeeze and wring it out till it is damp dry, return the surplus polish to your container and you are now ready. All you need do now is wipe and there is no need to buff up! Regular use of Heritage Woodcare will help to keep your furniture clean and being oil-based will help to look after it.

Heritage Woodcare is available online. simply visit www.heritagewoodcare.co.uk/products-page/
