www.heritagepolish.com

Did you spot the deliberate mistake in my posting of the 26th? The show at the Sky Blue
Connexion was put on by GJ Fairs not by PJ Fairs. The show was very busy during the morning but not for my products.
Things are beginning to calm down at home. My eldest son has gone home - he says he is going to be up most of the night watching American Football. My wife and I took the grandchildren bowling this afternoon, arriving home to my other son and his wife cooking an evening meal which was very enjoyable

As I was saying before I got interupted, it gets very disspiting when you take out nearly as much as you bring in. Too many shows have been like that recently - I hope this does not continue into next year.
All Heritage Polish and Green Angel Skincare products can be bought online - visit www.heritagepolish.com

interupted blog!

I am feeling a little tired at the moment having set up and dismantled my stand today, the worst thing being that I had to take out almost everything I brought in. It gets a little dispiriting when you are consistently talking to people without getting any result.
We have just had some visitors arrive so I will carry on with this later.

Antique Fair - Sky Blue Connexion,Ryton,Coventry

I hope all my readers had a very happy Christmas Day.
We did and even survived without any arguments! The bbq was a great success and the talk is of repeating it next year. My daughter and boyfriend arrived at 8.30.pm and departed early this am being here long enough to do another round of present giving, eat and sleep
.
Tomorrow I am doing a show at the Sky Blue Connexion in Ryton. It is an antique fair previously organised by Bob Evans but has now been taken over by PJ Fairs. It is the first time I have done a show at this venue - I have done car boot sales here and they have been relatively successful. I hope to see you there. This will be my last show of the year.

Christmas Day

It is Christmas Day. Again I wish all my readers a very happy Christmas.
My sons are about to get the bbq going. I am not sure what is about to be cooked - I know there is steak, pork chops and sausages, what else I don't know but what I do know is that there will be plenty.
The weather is dry but dull so that will not affect the proceedings.
I have just been playing Monopoly with my eldest son and my grandson. Despite having the worst possible start, my son went on to win - I am sure there is a moral in there somewhere!

Christmas Eve

It is Christmas Eve - 50 minutes and it is Christmas Day. On Christmas Day,among other things, we celebate the birth of Jesus. In many ways this totally gets forgotten - I thought I would just throw that in.
The grandchildren are in bed and my sons are playing a game on the tv. All is at peace in my world. My daughter and her boyfriend will be up tomorrow evening and we will all be together. It is great to have all the family together in one place - I hope I will still be able to say that all is at peace in my world tomorrow night!
Just to be different we are not having the traditional Christmas lunch - my sons decided that we will have a bbq instead. My wife and myself will be able to relax for a change as they are doing the cooking, we will still probably be doing the clearing up though!
I wish all my readers a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

Gifts and shopping from www.heritagepolish.com

It is a really miserable day today- damp, overcast but mild.
I came back from Somerset yesterday bringing my grandsons back with me. It is really great having them stay- they keep me young whilst at the same time they sort out all the computer problems for me!

If you are having guests over the Festive Season you may want to do a really good clean. Don't forget that Heritage Woodcare can be used on many other surfaces than just wood and is very easy to use, and your Heritage Leathercare will give your leather furniture a real treat.

I have some orders waiting for me so I will sort them out this am and get them in the post with the last minute cards.

It is still not too late to top up your supplies of Heritage Polish, or get your last minute gifts, visit www.heritagepolish.com and go to the relevant page.

How can I clean and polish the seats in my Bentley?

It is back to being dull and overcast today. I wonder if it is anything to do with me going to Somerset today? My son and daughter-in-law need some help with the grandchildren and it is my turn to supply it. They are great kids and I love being with them. Don't get a lot of opportunity to be with them however as they are usually up at weekends when I am at shows.

I was with a friend last night and he mentioned that he is getting himself a Bentley to use in his wedding hire business. He asked me if Heritage Leathercare can be used on the upholstery. I told him that it was just what he needed to keep it in excellent condition - soft.supple.water resistant and looking really good! Dependent upon the colour, it should also clean it.

To use Heritage Leathercare first of all make sure there is no loose debris that can scratch - possibly vacuum the upholstery before starting on polishing. If it is light in colour (white/yellow/cream, etc) you may need to wash the upholstery using pure soap (Simple soap, baby soap, soap flakes, Dreft, etc), then make sure it is totally dry. On other colours, Heritage Leathercare will also clean it. Take your sponge (or soft cloth), dip into your tub of Heritage Leathercare and take the surplus off on the side of the tub and then wipe. Make sure the surface is not greasy. if it is, just buff it up. As my friend intends to use his Bentley as a wedding hire car, he may feel it is wise to buff up in any case but if he has used the Heritage Leathercare as recommended he shouldn't need to.

What customers say about Heritage Woodcare

It is a lovely sunny day today and everything seems so much brighter!
My wife treated me to a reclining armchair as an early Christmas present, so I had to get rid of the settee - it was no loss as the springs were broken and propped up with cushions. I broke a lot up to make it easier to get out of the house. I hoped to get the rest on the bin lorry without any further work but it was too big so my next job is to finish breaking it.

Comment from an order for Heritage Woodcare yesterday "Have been using Heritage Polish for years as I suffer from allergies and find it so easy to use." It is nice to know that my product is so helpful and appreciated.

Gifts from Green Angel Skincare and Paston Crafts

I am feeling a lot better today but still not 100% - tomorrow I hope I will be back to my normal self!
I have had quite a busy day with three mailorders to do requiring me to go to my stores to collect the right products. To me it is absolutely amazing that I can be so busy with mailorder and take more money than at shows, yet , to put on a stand at a show requires a large financial outlay and a commitment of time - no matter how one feels.

As it is Christmas. I am seeing an uplift in the orders for the Green Angel Skincare range of products. These do make excellent gifts as products from the Paston Craft range.
To see the Green Angel range visit www.heritagepolish.com/skin.html , to see the Paston Craft range visit www.heritagepolish.com/paston.html

What can I buy for Christmas presents?

I am still suffering- sneezing, aching eyes, runny nose and just generally feeling rough. Today though, I can take it a little easier and rest when I feel really bad. Wasn't able to do that over the weekend!

The show could have been much better - trade was really slow, especially on Sunday. Saturday we did at least have the excuse of the weather but not for yesterday. The only thing that saved Sunday being a complete failure was that I kept trading whilst everyone else was packing up.I had started packing but then had three sales and a serious enquiry about the seaweed powder. That, coupled with a sale of two body smoothers a few minutes previously, meant I took nearly as much in the last hour as I had taken during bthe rest of the day.

You are still in time to get your presents online. Just visit www.heritagepolish.com. Metion that you want your purchase for Christmas Gifts and I will do my very best to get them to you in time for the Big Day!

Christmas Craft Fair at Wood Green Animal Shelter 13/14 December

I am going down with a cold at the moment, which is just what I want just before a show.
The show in question is a Christmas Craft Fair at Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester just outside Huntingdon. I hope you get the chance to visit as there will be a lot of nice things to buy - that is, in addition to my range.Don't forget to visit my stand first though! I will have the full range out and the GreenAngel products make really nice Christmas presents..
The show is held in their arena - a lot of shows of different types are held at this venue.
I will get myslf ready today and leave early tomorrow am. I hope the promised frost is not too bad!
My wife and I have been busy making self heating cushions and handwarmers - they have been selling well recently, really since the show at Coventry Transport Museum. My wife feels really chuffed to see things she has made doing so well.
I have one more show before Christmas and one on 27th December and then I have a break for a while - I am looking forward to that!

www.heritagepolish.com

Well it has been busy over the last few days. The show at Towerlands over the weekend was a lot more successful - this time I made a PROFIT! Not a lot but it was a profit which is better than a slap round the face with a wet fish (as my wife would say). I got home around 11.00.pm Sunday night and was out at 7.00.am Monday at a workshop at Aston Science Park. I have been there again today for another workshop. Tomorrow I can relax a little although I think my wife has a few jobs lined up.

Don't forget, all Heritage Polish And Green Angel Skincare products can be bought online from www.heritagepolish.com Many of the products - particularly on the Green Angel Skincare and Paston Crafts pages - make excellent Christmas gifts!

As promised more about Towerlands. It is in Braintree and is primarily used for equestrian events. The show this weekend is crafts/food and gifts and will be a great venu to get your Christmas gifts. I intend to feature my full range ;- Heritage polish/GreenAngel skincare and the Paston Microwarm range. GreenAngel and Paston Microwarm make superb gifts and I do recommend them.

The show coincides with an equestrian event so we are open late to give visitors to that event time to visit us as well - 7.00.pm Saturday and 6.00 pm Sunday.
Hope to see you there - do come and visit me and introduce yourself as a reader of this blog.

Magic of the Horse Equestrian Show.

Well, what can I say - the promised snow did not materialise although I gather it was not good in northern England. It continues to be wet and dull here in the midlands.
Yesterday I attended a workshop on Sales for Success and this evening a workshop on Networking. These events have been both interesting and informative and I hope will eventually lead to some really good contacts.
Tomorrow I am off to Unex Towerlands,Braintree,Essex. More of that tomorrow!

Is Heritage Woodcare suitable for my woodblock floors?

I had an enquiry a couple of days ago from someone wanting to know if HERITAGE WOODCARE would be suitable for use on his woodblock floor which had been carpeted since new 40 yrs ago. I advised him to first seal the floor with a good quality wax then to use Heritage Woodcare. I had the same situation myself a few years ago when we lifted the carpet in the hall. We were intending to re-carpet but were delighted to find we had a parquee floor underneath. Instead of re-carpeting we kept it as a wood floor. After first sweeping I had to clean the floor using a non-scratch scourer soaked in Heritage to remove all the bitumin that had seeped up between the individual tiles. Now a quick going over with Heritage keeps my floor looking good with the added benefits of being easy to use looking after the floor and also safe to walk on afterwards.

Interesting times and www.heritagepolish.com

It is an interesting time for me at the moment. I am trying to increase on-line business rather than doing most of my sales at shows - I feel I am getting a little long in the tooth to be out most weekends at shows, sleeping in my van! So this afternoon I am attanding a workshop on On-line Networking at Warwick University. It should be very interesting and I am looking forward to it.
Before that I am going to have to empty my van. My daughter was going to do some boot sales but is no longer doing so, so all the stuff she was going to sell is now in my van waiting for me to take it to my lock-up.
We had some snow this morning. This is the third lot of snow this winter but so far none has really settled.

Where were You? antique fair organised by GJ Fairs

Well-where were you last Saturday? You missed a really good antique fair! You could get everything from furniture to clothing and including ceramics, jewellery, books, stamps, etc. It was all there and at reasonable prices. The only thing missing was you, so, I repeat, Where were You?
I had all my products out demonstrating particularly Heritage Woodcare and Heritage Leathercare. Both proroducts are excellent polishes and you really should try them.
